You Can't Hold On

This time, this place, these people,
This you, you can't hold on.

We don't get to leap back,
Forward, or another do over.

Maybe you can't make the most,
But you can remember how it felt

And what it meant, who they
Were, and what you were like,

But you can't hold on. Time
Only moves forward with or

Without you, so hold on now
But you can't hold on forever.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I know I'm not the first to write of it, but you right now, this you, it's a unique you. And when you leave to go somewhere else or the faces in your life change you become another unique you, and it's an adamant fact that you'll never get to be that unique you again. So when you're there hold on while you can, but you can't hold on forever. Sorry feeling sappy tonight. Cheers Post Poets!

Change is inevitable

Holding on to a bad place

Is folly

Or fear of what is to become.

But Yes

Sometimes We Do Not Realize

When We Have It Good.

It sure looks Green
