What Do You Make Of It?

It's a breaking moment
A defining moment
A desperate moment
A dark moment

When you realize how
Insignificant you are
And I'm not talking
About in the grand
Scale of things but

In your passion
You can't even scratch
That surface let alone
Leave a mark and
Whatever your reasons for

Wanting to do so are
More significant than you

You'll question your capabilities
First and given enough time
And intoxication your existence

Eventually you reach another
Moment call it what you like
Sink or swim
Fight or flight
Live or die

But that's the moment

The one so fully ingrained
Upon you the one you'll try
To define right then and there

But you can't this fiber of
Your being won't be decided
In mere seconds
Days
Weeks
Months
Years

And even when they put your
Body in the ground the debate
Won't be settled because some
Things are always left to others
