The Rain

The rain outside is falling

The thunder is having its say

Through it all I can feel your pulse beating

Though you’re a thousand miles away

Thoughts of you weigh heavy on my mind

Tin roofs echo the raindrops of pain

Thin emotions shed salted drops of a different kind

They trace the soul to the lips, taste bittersweet, in loves name

Time for the rain, to wash away, make a new start

The lyric of time will drive you insane

Take the blood mixed with pain

Toke the life if you let it drain it all, from the heart

Thick and thin, you cannot win

The answer like the question is sad but true

Think twice before you utter a word my friend

There is rain and pain; the rest will have to come from you
