Hammock by The Sea

Just leave me here

in my hammock by the sea

for all have forgotten me

especially

my last hurricane

named...love

While in her eye

I had no fear

for pain wasn’t near

just blue sky

in the eye

of her love

I could ride the waves

of brilliant white caps

secure in the conclaves

filled all of lifes gaps

as I nestled myself

in the eye high above

the oceans commotion

safe and secure

in the eye of her love

Then one day

as quick as thunder

the eye will close

and I suppose

the edge

is what makes

one jump from the ledge

with past mistakes

clutched in the fist

of fate

as one will await

the outcome

of her love

So please leave me

here in my hammock

by the sea

let the ocean’s tide

bury me

the verdict

I will abide

for inside I have died

and I’ll have to quietly refrain

from another hurricane…named…love

Very nice. I think your work would translate well into songs. Seems like something people would enjoy hearing. Thanks for posting.
