Mind of an Artist

Devoted to demanding rhyme

What desire must words fuse

Blank impressions of active writing

Hear the passion that I use

Controlling in its aspect

Of what I know not yet

Paper is but a tool

In the stage I have to set

Listen close to all I have

For words appear mistook

Poems are not rymes

They deserve a deeper look

The casual reader of poetry would do well to read this poem before he or she reads another. It is truly below the surface that the poem lives. Very well stated.

A great poem. Poetry is not just rhymes, and solid structure. Poetry is from the heart.

Exceptional....it's a fact that we have no choice but to rhyme, to write, to verse! Great job!
