Set Apart

Misc./Exp.

So far away the heart, washed there too long ago.

Washed dry of all emption the eyes see the world obscured.

Seen in a light of death, pain and hunger it gets very dark.

Beyond the darkness lies the blindness of enlightenment.

Within the light of love, eyes blind themselves to the hunger.

Questions recourse away to never be answered, love is life.

Rivers run dry, children cry, dreams die, it's never enough.

Trapped inside the walls, the hands can not help.

Walls there to save grace, life and tortured souls.

Faded pennants march over the horizon as praises continue.

All the flags and colors mean nothing, zeal in wanton fufilment.

Casted aside ego, freed id yet no place for it found.

The beast you see is never quelled in it's hunger.

Slice away the old cancers, burn the whole damn thing down.

Shed the skin so that the heart may beat again.

Too much pain in this, too many to perish yet they want help.

Washed it all down with rum, maybe it was that I was so numb.

So far washed away the heart, someday, someone must start.
