The rain came and brought life back to the Philippines.

I smelt the warm fragrance of jasmine on the breeze.

It had a sharp top note of lemon that told me

that it floated down from my calamansi tree.

I followed the lemony scent to see the tree

and found it covered with a silver filigree

of small white double blossoms and many honeybees.
