Galaxies

at last, darkness

with its tireless array

of stars

they tell us the universe is expanding;

but am I the only one

who finds it sad

to think of all those galaxies

receding further away

leaving us more and more isolated

every day?

it’s just all so untouchable:

the night sky might as well be painted

on the window, behind the curtain,

which hangs diaphanous

and white, like

the memory of light

this is too much.

whose idea was time

and why did they have to make it so long?

I like the write

And wrote something in return

But as far as expanding galaxies

Are concerned

IMO

Mankind needs to worry about

This little ole place called Earth.

I like the reponse :) (You're certainly right that we should be worrying about Earth - although sometimes Earth just doesn't seem like enough ...)

The Time images

are really well constructed. Enjoyed the galactic stroll among receding systems. Nice - slc
