Pain in the soul

Watch the rope swing back and forth

Turn around and lock the door

Slip it on and fall an inch

A quick rush and then a pinch

Watch the world fade to black

Watch the places where you can't go back

I am totally washed away by that couplet that does not rhyme - the (near) perfect adult nursery rhyme about hanging?  "Swinging"? You go to interesting places in your poetry. ~A~
