I answer the lone wolf's howl

Folder:
X - Files

the piercing wind of a blue northern
blows over me
in the darkness of night I feel like a
lone wolf's howl sounds in the night

a shiver runs down my spine as I listen to
the haunting sound of a shattered emotion
a yearning for acceptance that will never come
to either of us

both of us left with only loneliness

feeling broken

a kindred spirit of sorts

for he's lost his mate
as I've lost mine

for creatures that mate for life
to go on living as one
is no easy goal

she's a memory to which comes
on the loneliest of nights
but the darkness she replaces
is warmer than my own

a shiver runs down my spine
as I answer the lone wolf's howl
