Have ever followed fireflies erratic flight through the night

or gazed at the sunset till the fading light left you alone
in the dark
or did you not have the time

Have you ever watched the sun rise ever so slow
into the eastern sky
or just sat an listened to the rain hitting on the tin roof
an it reminded you of a moment in time
brought a song to mind
or did you not have the time

Have you ever told someone we'll do it tomorrow
a lover , maybe your child , your parent's who've
become a lot older than you remembered yesterday
in your haste did you not see their sorrow
or did you not have the time

Ever lost touch an let a good friendship die
didn't tell someone how you really felt
watched as the love of you,er life walked
into the arm's of someone else
because of words left unsaid
cause you never had the time

Ever found yourself all alone in the darkness
trying not to cry
cause you never had the time
to live
