My trashcan poetry I find Myself searching for that fleeting feeling
as subtle as snow flakes That falls in the night
till they cover the ground With a frosty white
blanket that reflects the moonlight into a soft glow
that warm feeling you get when you don't even have to
look up to know their around
the satisfaction of knowing there was someone in the world
who actually gave a damn an you needed not to say a thing
more than a attraction and so far beyond lust
that the word didn't exist
two souls who for at least a while took up the same time an space
like two halves that make up one
as I dig through memories I pause in places I know I shouldn't
but I can't help but wonder how something that felt so good
could fall through My fingers like sand no matter how tightly
I tried to hold on
if there's a wise man out there can you please make Me understand
as you watch a broken man walking around you say you understand
but you'll never know his past
he'd give anything to be happy even if that meant he'd only live a day
unable to be love like that again loving him would be a mistake
I thought I had it once but it must of been a fleeting feeling

A Rainbow
Once, I caught a rainbow
the colors hovered
around my fingers
like a multi-hued halo.
...
Then, as the sun will do,
the rays pieced my lovely
arc and and it melted
into an oft visited
memory.
