It only takes a second to say hello and a lifetime to say goodbye

death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
love leaves a memory no one can steal ,
or a love lost no matter how hard you tried
leaves behind its permanent scars
It only takes a second to say hello and a lifetime to say goodbye
sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is nothing at all
I was never one for goodbyes
it all seemed to permanent to me
tragic emotions is often these powerful experiences that turn
into the memories that motivate us to keep searching for love
memories of her run through the night and touch yesterday
nightly I bathe in pain with the broken point of cupids arrow
cutting in half my world
indulge me as I share my vague imagery from the safety of my fortress of darkness
where no one can hurt me again

You did them justice indeed!

You did them justice indeed! One of my faves ever fortress... yes ever, no. I dint make mine as fool proof. Your writes are a wondrous world to get lost in a  drift on the ocean of emotion ruled by thoughts carried away by the tide and returning memories. Hugss always SS

Don't let any one shake your dream stars from your eyes, lest your soul Come away with them! -SS

"Well, it's love, but not as we know it."

Our Timeframes

Keep getting longer. I have been inside this measurement - I just process the past as past. "...cutting in half my world..." This is called caesura: the pause between the f and m of half and my. A natural forced stop. Nice line. - allets -
