every fairy tale story must come a sort of finality

with every fairy tale story must come a sort of finality
where the main character has to face his own mortality
in the depths of despair and a exercise in futility
I refuse to simply let it all fade away
I cannot forget the good times or the bad
I write poetry while the rest of the world sleeps
to feel better about my failures but I still have my insecurities
no matter how I write them or how hard I try
there's never a happy ending
My heart and soul are filled with too many moments of regrets
you see I've made more than my share of mistakes
but if you would try to see it once my way
If I've ever told you I love you
then I'll love you till I die
