people walk away from love because it won't obey 
our expectations
for some who were the casualties of the war
collateral damage left behind 
the heart never forgets....
it never gives up 
we live our lives alone 
constantly berating ourselves 
questioning every decision we ever made 
the pure and absolute truth is 
love is but a mystery
an it gives not of our expectations
you have to fight like hell for love
some people walk away from the fight
others become the casualties of the war
