sleeping awake through night

sleeping awake through night
i'm writing my poems of pain...
silently screaming out to anyone who might hear
as I write my lines of madness
outside my bedroom window a sigh of wind
breathes through the midnight trees
tormenting me for I to want to be free
trapped between reality that can be corosive and fantasy
the dreams of begotten love the worst of them all
reminiscing about the beginning when all was good with the world
feeling the ghost of love I use to know
before the ravens cried and took to flight
like an old movie left black and white
the anti hero rides away

sleeping awake through night
loneliness holds me in it's cold embrace

U R Not Alone

Lonely is a mind-state. I live in it then get on this site or call a friend or go visit my grandson and mess with him. Gardening beckons for as long as my back lasts. Saw my first Robin yesterday while walking to pick up grandson from school (2.8 miles round trek). Everything hurts but in a few weeks I will be cruisin' along. Read up on Don L. Lee 74 now. I must be old!

.

Whoever said misery loves company was either on to something or was an absolute idiot. :D
