words of remorse fall on deaf ears

the stars cry as the blood moon bleeds

shadows remove the veil of illusion as words of
remorse fall on deaf ears
my nights are spent in the realm of confusion
anger trying to out weigh love
they tell me how she did me wrong
but I think that was a two way street
love and hate
just two flames at the end of the same candle
and I still love her to much to extinguish that light
any sooner than I have to

words of remorse

fall on deaf ears

"...shadows remove the veil..."

wondrous irony - shadows usually darken or obscure. The line ignites a new spark at the collision points of denotation and connotation. Surrealists would love this jolt into the otherworldly. Enjoyed lots! ~Stella~
