Love And Lust

Pathetic it is to honor your physique and visage
As when I look beyond, there's nothing more to boast
But little you told, the reason that I cannot judge
Why don't you lend me a bit of your innermost?

Respect and love- the passion that must be requited
Love I give, lust glimmers in your mind
Deference I need, faithfully I chose to be disrespected
Fraud is inevitable, eyes became blind.

Right nor wrong, neither I can consider
My heart leaps out of its ribs as you approach
Mind starts proclaiming a war against her
Yet she is firm, not listening to any coach

Hello thanks!

I appreciate your comment. :) Sometimes, a woman is blinded by her love that she can take everything even the abuiveness of her man.

hmm

I find that it is really  not love, but value of ones self that lets us allow others to abuse us. And abusers feed on this weakness.

hmmm back

Sometimes women undervalue themselves because of their men and that's when love becomes wrong. Saddest part of all.

I liked this a lot.

I liked this a lot. Especially this line: "Deference I need, faithfully I chose to be disrespected." You have a wonderful way with words in this poem.

words are my emotions

Thankyou for the comment! I guessed I was heightened by my emotions with this one back then. :)
