What's that organ you lock inside your chest? I think I once heard it called a heart,

Well, whatever the name of it is, mine has just shattered and broken apart.

This mysterious red dye has left all over the ground a permanent stain,

My body is empty but my mind is full of questions, feeling this unfamiliar type of pain.

I never knew I possessed this heart until you devoured mine,

I never thought I would regret that our paths had crossed and intertwined.

Crawling in the dark without knowing why,

You'll never have to feel this way, because you keep your heart where it can't be seen by the naked eye.



Lately it seems that I'm falling apart at the seams,

Losing my self-esteem as I throw away my unattainable dreams,

Start to scream when my failed past and lonely future in the distance gleams,

Someone saw me on the sidewalk and asked if she could try to help me smile, but I don?t even know what that means.



Never knew what a heart was until I was told,

Never thought that your heart could be so cold.



What's that emotion you claimed you once felt for me? I believe the name is love,

Well, whatever it's called, the way you showcased your feelings for me is unheard of.

This bizarre clear liquid has spilled from my eye and left my vision blurry just like rain,

Coming to a realization that every time you said that you loved me, you would only feign.

I never knew what love was until I met you,

I don't know what love means anymore since we're through.

Crying for help without knowing how,

You'll never have to endure my pain, because if you cared then you would be here for me right now.



Recently it seems like I'm losing grip of my dreams,

Forgetting my planned out schemes as I let my hopes flow down intoxicated streams,

Every day I deem about the moment where to your face I will blaspheme,

A stranger saw me near the shore and told me to turn my frown upside down, but how am I supposed to know what that means?



Never knew what lies were until I watched the truth begin to unfold,

Never thought that Juneau would be this cold.
