Dancing on Chandeleirs

dance on the stars,
whisper away your fears,
embrace a loving design,
as i walk on-top a broken chandelier,

Dancing on broken crystal
a morbid ballet.
Shifting misfortune,
a formidable sense of pain.
Beauty and humbled,
no more than a pet.
a sense of unknowing,
but not an ounce of regret.

Nobles with Maidens,
Selfishly rich and unkind,
powdered faces and suits,
all standing high with pride.
yet no matter the tune they sway,
no more is any sweeter than a ballerina in chain.

be sweet,
be blind,
be undignified.
but you my darling with such sad eyes,
can dance into the light,
come. join the ball!
mark your steps in the royal hall...

Dancing on Chandeliers:

A realy good poem I enjoyed reading it. I too would rather protect the soverignty of womens right than dance with royalty. Loved the rhyming.
