Devil's Paradise

Depressed Poetry

Devil's Paradise

My eyes dry after another stormy night,

harsh reality still knocking at my heart.

Shattered pieces of a love so strained,

thrown across the room without a care.

My dreams melt their poisonous doubts,

into the deepest level of my thoughts.

I scream, if only to breathe for a moment,

to forget the rest of the day ahead.

My nails dig into the flesh of my palms,

a trail of blood trickling down my hand.

I hold my tongue, though tired of listening,

never getting a chance to be heard myself.

I weep for I know not what else to do,

my soul is lost in this Devil's paradise.

Daring to hope for a love's return,

lost somewhere amongst the pain and tears.
