WALMART STORE AT NIGHT

Folder:
ABSTRACT POEMS

I walk past aisles and aisles and aisles.

I walk for miles and miles and miles.

A fact I can't ignore.  I'm the only one in this store.

            There are no smiles.

I'm walking and walking and walking, but

           nobody's talking.

There's nobody around.  There's nobody to be found.

There's nobody high.  There's nobody low.

Where did everybody go?  I don't know.

         Nobody see, but me.

Is there an end?  Am I going to find a friend?
