To take away this new pain that I've found

To help me understand this crazy life again

You know, just like the good old days

When our frowns were long forgotten

And we never had a care in the world

I wish that I could take away your pain,

my dear friend, but I'm afraid that I-

Have lost that power over you long ago.

To spend those lonely nights with once more.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I wish I could say, "I'm sorry for the things that I have done." and mean it. But I can't. All I can do is live with the guilt with which I have placed upon my own shoulders. I'm gonna carry that weight...

As much as I get mad at you and want to hold a grudge I guess I really can't. Even if you are hard headed sometimes. You're still one of the best friends I ever had. And you should know I'm always here for you.
