His stone cold stare

Showed his pain and suffering

His lifeless eyes

Showed his broken heart and spirit

He is no longer

The person we all knew

But something darker

His stone cold stare

Showed his lack of human emotion

His lifeless eyes

Showed the man he was

Is gone.

The things to make him this way

Are unimaginable

To a mere mortal

He will never be the same

Ever again.

Showed me his black heart

His lifeless eyes

Showed his dead love

Love he once held-

For me.

His stone cold stare

Shows me he no longer cares

That he's changed

His lifeless eyes

Shows me the life he left behind

All the hurt and pain

Maybe if we,

The mere mortals

Could see through

The lifeless, stone cold staring eyes

Of this man

We would finally

Understand.
