Sleep Tight Jupitor

Is it a matter of fact
or fiction
that I don't factor
into any of your
decisions
maybe I forgot
to mention
that's it's been
centuries since
you spoke to me

You keep nodding your head
and reminding me to stay stalwart
"Stay Stalwart Red Giant
and keep knocking them out of the park"

I looked up and saw a river of stars
Floating lightyears apart
but a handful of planets were
hung like the moon
Hung like back when I was
hung up on you

But I saw
them shake
these planets are poised
To hatch, it's not too late
Centuries of work paid off
to see the gods awake

Gaia came calling,
"Stay Stalwart Red Giant
Sleep tight Jupitor"

Author's Notes/Comments:

Free verse poem I wanted to write about how Jupitor protects our solar system, and some dream I had about how planets were eggs that secretely hatch gods.
