Through The Grief

Folder:
Grief & Grieving

The tear descended,

down her cheek.

She swiped it away,

trying not to feel weak.

Yearning for strength,

to see it all through.

Asking her heart,

just what she should do.

How to handle,

this overpowering grief.

Waiting and praying,

to feel the relief.

Knowing it will take,

some needed healing time.

Before she could leave,

all the anguish behind.

Someday she knew,

time it would heal.

No longer the sorrow,

would she feel.

Then the memories will come,

images her mind would send.

Replacing all the pain,

letting her shattered heart mend.
