Soul Poetry

This existance

I dwell in,

is that of a prison,

with its un-scalable walls

and un-escapable bars.

Fate is my

merciless warden

and simply living

be my crime

of passion.

Closed off

from the outside world,

I remain incarcerated

for the duration

of this life sentance.

Outside faces view me

like that of a criminal,

so I remain behind these gates,

innocent of all

they perceive of me.

I'm shut-in

and shut-out,

from a society

that sees me

as less than perfect.
