Prisoner

Cauterized from reality

A vegetable growing in a graveyard garden

No one notices

No one fucking cares

Some memories are inseparable

From the fate twisted victims

Intoxicating fibers and vibrations

I can see the vacancy in your eyes

They reflect the trail of your demise

Systematic slaughter of feelings

Deathbed of demons

Lay waste in purgatory

Tell me how the fallen

Are the culprits in this madness

With nothing left to demonize

How are we to appreciate the angels

Fallen or otherwise

to carcass:

I like your writing, I really admire your willingness to embrace your darkness. It is something I personally have trouble facing in myself.

I'm not sure what this writing is about to you, but to me it reminds me of the downfall that comes from addiction/substance abuse. How beautiful souls can end up wasting away, becoming slaves to their drug.

It could also be about recovering from trauma, and being misunderstood or even unheard by society, and the suffering that results.

Nonetheless, this was very thought provoking. Thank you for sharing your work.

Peace and Love,

K

you do a great job

of describing the darkness that lies just beneath our souls. the ineffable effects of our own self-destructive sinfulness. hard to say what it is. have you read any dostoevsky?

Thank you, I'm glad you

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy. I actually have not read any of Dostoevsky's work. I've honestly never even heard the name before, do you think I'd like it?

he's a dead russian author.

he's a dead russian author. he was around during the nihilist movement in the 1800s and wrote a lot of books showing the human condition at it's darkest. he wrote to counter all the nihilist books that were coming out at the time by showing inner dialogue and struggle against self. i recommend reading his stuff, he's my favorite author
