Trees Parody

Trees Parody

I think the beauty of a tree

Is what that tree may someday be

A tree which now to earth is prest

may multiply when it is wrest

From soil and sent to lumber yard

and transformed timber, soft or hard

That tree in forest may well pray

but I prefer a dirge to play

I'll mourn and wail over the stump

if it will expedite the jump

to cherry wood or oak veneer

even rough timbers for a pier

For trees are always well and good

but best of all to take their wood.

I like this, silly, and well written parody.
