flames licking the early morning sky, a gentle crackle fills the foggy air
suddenly, the sunlight breaks in rays across the darkness
lovely droplets of dew catch the splendorous light,
the clouds are of a golden hue, magnificent in their cause
rising from the ashes of a fallen day, counting the cost
our mind running wild with thoughts from yesterday,
calling out from another time and place and igniting our thoughts,
i lay alone and scared
how quickly the sands of time change in the the distance
beautiful life force rushing through flesh and bone,
beating hearts in their cage of wonders, how i am amazed
every day of my life is marked with your precision
