Why do some people insist on compromising the truth?

negotiating the priority of it

the importance of it

the potency of it..





Whether it is an issue of one being true to self

or someone else

Why Lie?

Why not try?

Why allow greed and fear to jeopardize?

staining hearts

and corrupting thoughts

conceiving negativity

due to one's lack

of substance and identity



How does one move on

after deception has

stolen time

and endless moments of passion?

heartfelt instances

when bodies have been given

due to emotions being driven

by desires

and thoughtful words

meaningful actions

and manifestations procreated

on a mere fraction of the truth



What is true?

What is real?

How the hell am I supposed to know

WHEN to feel?



I?ve endured so many situations

that have cost

that have tried

that have damaged

that have denied

me of the very truthfulness

that I believe in..

but have never received

not even once

from a man..
