Back On The Window Sill

Back on the window sill

Staring down...

From the 17th floor

At the progressive consequence

Of the forward motion of time

As a man I choose falling over drowning

But the database already knew that...

Funny how long it takes our superior minds

To calculate the obvious...

Always looking for the most complex solution

Such complicated stupidity

Where reason ends, man begins...

And I live in a one-storey house...

It has a pool... but I am a man after all.

Longing to climb back onto that window sill

To see it all again...

Just to make sure.

I must say tat I enjoyed this poem greatly. It is a carful observation of or natures attempt to grasp at life with our minds, while the simple understanding that comes from the heart goes unherd. GReat poem! ~ Lots of Love~
