Your jealousy gets me down

I don’t like to see you frown

This relationship can’t drown

I need you.



I hate the way you stare

When you think I’m not there

I hate the evil glare

That you give him.



I don’t mean to make you cry

I can’t stand to hear your sigh

We can’t let this go awry

I can’t handle it.



You aren’t letting me in

For this unforgiving sin

I know I just can’t win

You won’t let me.



I can’t reach through the lies

We need to compromise

This can’t lead to our demise

It’s not worth it.



So let me, please, explain

I won’t make the mistake again

You shouldn’t have to feel this pain
