The night of the banshee
Amidst glittery brightness
Superstitious noose tightens
Munching on choddo shag
Though tummies squeal
And the tastebuds appeal
No respite from the eve
Said they the spirits
Wander forlorn amidst
Their loved ones
To see how they're faring
Pray & they'll stop roaring
Hallows Eve is a week away
Wonder what almanacs say
Tonight is for happiness
Night of wonderful togetherness
A night to forget bitterness

A Happy Diwali to you Bishu and your family. On goes the battle of light over darkness and for good over bad. This is a Hindi festival i think, well have a good time. Cleverly written celebratory poem for Diwali and it rhymes too, great read.
