                                      Deserted

For many months from now

Not a single telephone call

Not even an E Mail

My life feels deserted

Colour of old shale

Blood test shows proper haemoglobin

Yet why is my face so pale ??

Visitors do not ring my doorbell

They’ll come when they hear death’s knell

Thoughts On Death

Both are causes for isolation and loneliness. Get up, make a phone call, text, E-Mail the insurance company - anybody who will talk and listen! - I'm good for just talking to passer's by - but dying slowly (hopefully over the next 20 to 30 years) as I approach 90 or 108, wishfully, I will have my Post Poemie pals to say "We are here as you go." and a few family members to count my wrinkles, my friends all having died. Thought provoking write this. ~A~
