Date announced for the employment interview
The blue collar office job
Young man dressed smart
Shaved clean his beloved stubble and and moustache
Pretty now in oblivion and so is Ash
Money fever gripped him hard
Though the job wasn't to his liking
The interview would fetch his coveted bird
"Look at me mamma! Do I look smart enough?"
"Don't worry son!.. the ordeal won't be tough!"
Summoned into the cold unfriendly chamber
He thought of his peaceful slumber
His cozy home-- the ramshackle old building
Butterflies flapped wings in his chest
Quite uncomfortable-his tight new vest
"Please be seated.. make yourself comfortable!"
"Thank you Sirs!.. his knees felt like jelly
Heart thumped wildly in his rib-cage
(Young aspirants,when will they come of age!?)
"What do you expect from us ?" asked Sirs
(Great Sirs,make it fast, he may miss the bus!)
Meaningless,irrelevant questions fired quickly
"I must get the job!" --on the verge of obsession!
Faced the balded,greyed hawk-like gentlemen
Looking for succulent worms without character
What future do these youths face hereafter?
Can't there be some happiness ?? maybe some laughter !
