Overcrowded Sunday market place

Broiler chickens huddled together- disgrace !

Small child with his loving mother

Buying chicken flesh at the shop together

Oblivious of the trauma............ the anxiety

Before their necks slashed.. witnessed by the child

Feels no pity.. remorse.. doesn't cry wild

Fluffy white feathers ripped off without mercy

Warm,pulsating,young heart torn apart 

Where are the Law Makers? the Judges?the Holy Men?

Holy Men(Godmen) preach love , affection,  kindness

Of which religion is the slayer, the child, the mother ?

Doesn't care for innocent lives.. don't even bother !

The child stoops down over the wire basket

Looks childishly at the chickens awaiting their fate

Pulls out tufts of feather........... inflicts pain !!

Spare a kind thought for these helpless birds

Let our human lives not go in vain !!
