Ageing

Groaning body........ troubled mind
Seeking avenues to somehow unwind
Scotch tape sticks- adhesive fixes
Wish I was Dhoni picking up sixes

Crawling on fours thru the forest of men
Men upright-yet so deformed !! Ten of ten !!

Cold night draughts, leaves shake & swish
For some warmth of the soul I do famish

Bitter taste on dried,parched tongue
Balding grey pate .. I see the singing gang

Cats are mewing.. dogs are wailing
For a haven of peace is no one willing ?

Scrape the white stubble off my wrinkled skin
To feel happy n fresh what of the stubble within ?

Cuddly puppy grown up to a fine dog
A true friend companion amidst a bog
Marsh and murk.. Dust & City grime
The embers are dying-Can I get more time ??

Author's Notes/Comments:

Age is not black or grey. It sometimes becomes colourful when an old person is just "feeling nice" Lady Dove's background colours have inspired me. Thanks Madam
