Listen to your elders:
Their words are true and wise;
Look into their faces
They wear no false disguise.
Reach out and hold a hand;
They are there to guide you.
Drink from their cup of life--
Enjoy it as they do;
Breathe in this richly smell,
So strong and so intense,
But let us not forget
To add some common sense!
I completely agree with everything you say here. So many disregard elders when they could learn from them..
