Been standing in this line so long,

Each month I feel despair,

Riding the systems coaster,

I'm forever welfare.

My daddy did it before me,

My granddaddy too,

Been in this situation,

Don't know what to do.

I don't have an education,Just cant get no where.

The only title I have kept,

Is Mr forever welfare.

Now I have a family,Can I break this spell,

And have a better life for them,

Knowing more than hell.

I want them to have more,

Than I could ever dare,

Not growing up in a lifetime,

Of forever welfare

I wrote this several years ago,just seeing how our young people in this situation and no future .as they feel they have been forgotton not able to find jobs and having to rely on a system,that can put someone in deeper dispair,but with nowhere else to turn to but forever welfare
