Kilimanjaro
Sometimes,
there's no way to say
what needs to be said
from one soul to another,
when the air is so thin
yet the view so expansive;
the fact that we can
both look down the mountain,
realize the nature of the journey,
and know that the gloves
will fit whoever needs them,
transcends all words.
And with a shared smile,
we understand that the next mountain awaits,
that the path isn't too narrow or steep
and another shoulder can carry the pack.
