you Fickle Bitch",
as you flash that coquettish smile,
slinking in with catlike grace,
unfazed by my dismay.
Faithfully,
I wait for you, pen in hand,
never asking where you've been
when you leave me desolate, alone;
barren, bare, striped to the mystical poetic bone;
tormented by your absence -
and then you stumble in,
giddy to find me
grateful at your return,
watching as those
spiteful thoughts melt
with your merest smile,
knowing all is forgiven,
without apology.

Lol! You better be taking care of yourself! I don't have relatives there, but I do have friends who wear toques and owe me a favor. They could show up with a nurse and wheelchair... Don't make me make a call! ;-)
I usually keep the anger channeled elsewhere, but that week absolutely sucked for so many reasons, and then not being able to write anything I liked was just the "F' it all" moment. Funny, it seemed to have worked and got things flowing ;-)

About the Bitch
When I first read the poem, I thought you were talking about my sister, then I remembered, she doesn't inspire, leave, come back, etc. Second reading, i knew you were talking about me, then I realized, I'm not a real bitch most of the time so it had to be your muse by deduction. Life is tough enough without such conundrums, dear. Loved the art - the rant was soooooooo fine and the muse must have been impressed by so much comments inspired by her absence and sudden return. Fickle fickle toil and tickle, she will be gone, but let's not hope soon~~~~~~~~~~Lady A

Enjoyed it thorougly again. Looking for good stuff to read out here, way down here in the belly where the good stuff waits to be re-digested - Thanks for the MUSE-ic - My muse went on vacation. We hit below freezing and hes uh-uh! I don't blame him - so he texts me from the sandy beach with a martini in his hands. I don't mind. I'll take inspiration from sand and sun if needed, snow and wind if unavoidable. Nice write and great to re-read ~Lady A~
