I do not agree my dear....I think things can matter and I think there is a differnce between something attering to you and something ruling or controlling you.... perspective remember? the colour of your skin and where you came from are all things which shap your perspective and therefore matter...they do not have to mean you are only that...

I think we are coming at this one on different beams of light. I live in a very socialy and racially diverse area in Texas. Contrary to expectations, what matters here isn't the label you wear, but what type of human you are. Are you a good person? A quality human being. A good neighbor? Try to take care of yourself and family? Pursue your happiness without intentionally pissing in people's faces? Pass judgement on others? Then no one here cares what you look like, who you love, or who you are. Most folks here wouldn't know what libertian is, but fall within that tent.
And most folks I know are offended by media attempts to spin the racial issues. They exist, no doubt, but honest reporting is a thing of the past, a deviation from the script only invites attack, rather than constructive dialogue. I seem to recall from my philosophy courses (or perhaps history) that when one doesn't have facts on your side, use sheer volume.
You know how much I HATE for anyone to dictate to me (or anyone else) what they should think about anything ;-)
Anyway, it's just a commentary on media bias, or perhaps a South Park episode. ;-)
media has a ob to do and
media has a ob to do and thats sell itself and create fear on mass.... I find it solid self care to just not engae with media and get informmation in other ways
