Running in my own direction,

living in this insurrection

only leads me to depression.

Why can’t I focus

on my dear Jesus?

This spiritual rebellion

is not the way I wanna go.

But, it’s the way I’m goin’.



With patience, I’m not runnin’.

The prize,  I will not be winnin’.

Running in my own direction,

is suicidal.

Beating the air, I’ll

forfeit.  I do not know where to turn,

running  fast, down the wrong path.

Running in my own direction.
