Jesus forgave me,

He died for my sins.

On me, He had mercy.



When faced with evil temptations,

I should always remember

how He died for my sins.



His loving forgiveness should stir,

within my heart, a boldness

to take a stand; and of faith, a glowing ember.



Bestowing His own righteousness

upon me, taking the sorrowful shame

of all my wretched sinfulness.



Giving me a new name,

creating me anew

this is why He came.
