Fathers Day

Fathers Day

Being a Father is an honour and a privilege……….

Yesterday was Father’s Day

Zach is my first-born and the leader of the clan

Everyday he grows from a boy to a man

He organized them into a line

A gift to each he did assign

He made sure I got mine

     It was Fathers Day

Jordan the next. The family clown

He will be the laugh of the land or the talk of the town

He found time for a card

His wit is very avant garde

He holds me in high regard

     It was Fathers Day

Then there was Thomas, the first to rise

He had prepared for me a surprise

     Three weet-bix in the bowl

     The milk was so cold

He is worth his weight in gold

     It was Fathers Day

Jacob Peter, there is nothing sweeter

Found me my place on the family three-seater

He had made his own creation

     His face filled with elation

As he presented it for my evaluation

     It was Fathers Day

Isabelle, my only daughter and my great pleasure

In the entire world there is no greater treasure

Her card bore the image of the young lady I love

As pretty as a picture and as graceful as a dove

She said Happy Fathers Day by the dozen; she’s a

     gift from above

     It was Fathers Day

Benny my youngest, pleasure and pain

Although he is aged challenged, over all he does reign

     He knows my weak spot

He looks at my gifts and says “what you got”

He sat with me till my bedtime and I like that a lot

     It was Fathers day

And I take off my hat to my Darling Jo

I love her more than she’ll ever know

My best friend and my wife

She shares my triumphs and my strife

She gave my kids their life

     It was Fathers Day

What a wonderful family you have! My three sons are grown and gone their own ways now, but this weekend I have two year old Austin staying with me. He chased me with the hose yesterday after we filled his plastic pool. lol I've missed that kind of thing so much! I envy your lovely homelife. Please cherish it, for it won't last forever. But thank God! There are grandchildren!

Regards from Georgia,
