So Scream

You’re living in a world where your dreams don’t come true,

and everything you do and say is held against you.

No matter how hard you scream there’s no escaping now,

for you’ve entered this world and there’s only one way out.

So scream all you like to the billion deafened ears

nobody turns their eyes as you confess your deepest fears.

Your fears of a new tomorrow and  the never ending pain

will become an untold secret and a secret they’ll remain.

Everybody has become zombies in a world that has turned black

never sleeping, ever wandering and never once looking back.

People turned their backs on faith, on beliefs and on mankind

they’ve  forgotten how things used to be and left it all behind

So scream all you like to the billion deafened ears

nobody turns their eyes as you confess your deepest fears.

You will live this life forever for there’s no escaping now

since you’ve entered this world there’s been only one way out

Hold the dagger steady as you dig, deep in numbing flesh

your cloudy eyes show no emotion, take your last full breath.

As you release your last breath of life  you take the first of another

and find yourself in loving arms, held close now by your mother

And you scream all you can to the billion deafened ears

but nobody turns their eyes as you confess your deepest fears

You will live this life forever for there’s no escaping now

you keep entering this world to find there’s no way out.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a poem about how people have changed over the years. Nobody really gives a care anymore about anybody else. It is a poem about how a man is trying to get out of his life and when he finally does escape he is forced back into the same type of life again. happy readings!
