I don't know why

everytime I still try

to be this good guy

when there feelings are a lie

they always cheat

around my back they creep

but this one is different

the guy pays me rent

hes a friend of mine

and I'm trying to be fine

fine with his indiscretion

I don't know the lesson

she wasn't really mine

but she crossed a friends line

which will never be fine

not with any seperation of time
