Certain people think
that when Muse visits an artist,
It's like a glamorous ball
Or an intimate party.
You are enthralled to see each other
Only see each other at one's best.
Muse is more like
A dripping faucet
A howling dog
A chirping cricket
A running toilet
A flashing light
A beeping battery in a smoke detector
It bothers you for attention
When all you desire is rest!
I Like Your Muse
Food for thought here. Muses are overly glamorized - I know from personal encounters. Mine drank heavily and I kicked him out when he started sniffing glue instead of ink. Good write - so true! :D.
