Once upon a time
I was lost like you,
Until I stood up
And took a deep breath.
Maybe that's all
You need to do?
I was lost in a sea
Of plain looking faces.
All I had to do was breathe,
Instead of being one in a crowd.
Don't hold your breathe,
Don't trap it inside,
Don't keep it for yourself.
Share it with everyone!
Make them smile!
One day I walked
With my head held high.
It was different
Than any day I had lived.
It wasn't a day
That ended with a sigh,
It wasn't a day I thought
"How could I have made it better?"
It was good.
And to that
I slept soundly.
